DigiFarm Supports Albania’s Path to EU-Ready Agricultural Systems at IACS Round Table

DigiFarm participated in the Technical Round Table “Architecting Trust: Shaping Albania’s IACS Roadmap,” held in Tirana and organized by Agriculture and Rural Development Agency.
Representing DigiFarm, Nils (DigiFarm SEO) joined as a tech expert and agritech solutions developer, contributing to discussions on advancing Albania’s digital agricultural infrastructure.

The event brought together representatives of Paying Agencies from across EU Member States, creating a platform not only for technical dialogue on the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS), but also for exchanging knowledge, best practices, and practical tools. These efforts are aimed at making agricultural support systems more efficient, transparent, and aligned with European Union standards – ultimately simplifying processes for Albanian farmers.

Supported by FAO Albania through the DART programme, the initiative is helping lay the groundwork for a modern, interoperable system. Key topics included strengthening LPIS, advancing GSAA workflows, and integrating Area Monitoring Systems (AMS), all essential components of a future-ready agricultural administration.

As an active contributor, DigiFarm has already developed tailored models supporting this transformation. At the round table, we shared our expertise in building scalable, farmer-centered digital solutions while learning from EU counterparts about proven approaches to system design and implementation.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to sustainable rural development and a more modern agricultural sector in Albania. DigiFarm remains dedicated to supporting this journey – helping bring Albania’s agricultural systems closer to EU standards and contributing to a stronger, digitally enabled future for farmers.
